Say first
  • Listen while the piano holds the highlighted note.
  • Sing the same note on “ah”, in any comfortable octave.
  • Use a comfortable voice; do not force the sound.
Ask the child
  • Does the marker need to move higher or lower?
  • Which note was easiest to land?
  • Can you keep the marker in the green?
Watch for
  • Sound from speakers reaching the microphone.
  • More than one pupil singing at once.
  • A noisy room making the marker jump.
